Poonch youth makes it to ‘Indian Idol’

JAMMU, Dec 10: Ehsan Asgar, (23) from Poonch district was on the top of the world when he recently received an email from Himanshu Sharma, Talent Head, Indian Idol 7, that he had been selected for the singing show.
A resident of border village,  Palera in Mandi tehsil, Ehsan had auditioned for the show on September 17 at MIER College in Jammu. “I am thankful to the Indian Idol audition team for selecting me as a contestant,” said Ehsan.
“Initially, I had sent them three video clips in which I was singing and I received a message from the Indian Idol team to take part in the audition on September 17 at MIER College,” he said.
“In the audition, I was asked to sing three songs and I sung ‘Tore Bina Mohe Chain Na Aawe’, ‘Phir Mohabat Karne Chala’ and ‘Naina Thag Lenge’. The judges appreciated my singing and asked to me to sing two more songs of their choice like ‘Chingari Koi Badke’ and ‘Sakia Sakia’,” Ehsan added.
