POONCH, Mar 28: Poonch Police Sports Festival which is being organised under Civic Action Program with the theme “Choose Life Not Drugs” entered 5th day today.
The sports events including Kho-Kho, Kabbadi and Tug of War were held at Gursai and Mendhar today.
At Mendhar the tug of war trophy was lifted by Boys Higher Secondary School Mendhar, while in Volleyball trophy was won by Ddharana Club.
ASP Poonch Anwar ul Haq was the chief guest on the occasion while Principal Higher Secondary School Mendhar was guest honour. SDPO Mendhar Riyaz Tantray, SHO Mendher Amin Choudhary, SHO Gursai Sanjay Gupta, prominent
citizens, large number of students and locals were present on the occasion.
In kho kho match of girls at Gursai the final trophy was lifted by High School Harni.
The locals congratulated Poonch Police for organizing the Festival to engage youth in sports and chanalize their energy in a positive and constructive way so as to keep them away from social evils.
