POONCH, May 31: Poonch Police in a simple but impressive function distributed sports kits among Volleyball clubs of the district, here today.
The function was organized as a part of initiative taken by IGP Jammu SD Singh Jamwal to encourage youth involvement in sports.
The kits were distributed by SSP Poonch Rajiv Pandey. DySP DAR Mohan Sharma, Tariq Khan and Nirdosh Kumar were also present on the occasion.
SSP on the occasion said that J&K Police has launched various schemes targeting youths so that they may not fall in the hands of anti social elements, and rather contribute towards building their career and mental/physical fitness by involving themselves in the sports related activities.
The people present on the occasion highly appreciated this move of J&K Police.
