Policeman injured in militant attack near shrine in Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Militants shot at and injured a constable of Jammu and Kashmir police near a shrine in central Kashmir district of Badgam on Sunday afternoon, official sources said.
They said militants fired upon a police constable, guarding the famous shrine of Sheikh Nooruddin Wali at Charar-e-Sharief in Badgam district.
The injured was rushed to hospital, they said, adding that security forces have launched a massive operation to nab the militants responsible for the attack. (AGENCIES)
