Srinagar, Jan 22: Police today used force to disperse the protesting under graduate students from different colleges after they tried to block the MA road here.
Scores of first- year under graduate students who had come from different university affiliated colleges protested against the alleged discrepancies in their first year results. The protesting students raised slogans against the university and accused it of failing them en masse. “We have started our first semester in 2016 and now when we are in the third semester, the results of our first semester exams are out. Even after such a delay, the results are shocking for all the students as majority of the students have failed,” a protester said.
The students also alleged that the university has misplaced their papers and were indifferent towards the issues of the students. “We approached the university several times but they arrogantly sent us away. They were least bothered about our problems, “a student said, adding the university authorities have forced them to hit streets.
