Police seeks help in identifying thieves

Srinagar, Aug 19: Police today sought help of people in identifying robbers involved in a theft case here on city outskirts.
A police spokesman said that on August 16, police post Chanpora received a complaint from one person namely Irshad Ahmad Bhat, resident of Usmaniya Colony Bagh-i-Mehtab that in the afternoon some persons barged into his house and looted gold ornaments worth about 11 lakhs.
“On this information, a case under FIR Number 145/2017 under section 454, 380 RPC was registered in police station Sadder and investigation was set into motion,” he said, adding that during the course of investigation and after analysing the CCTV footage the pictures of the culprits involved in the incident surfaced.
