Police register case against stone-pelters

Srinagar, Apr 15: Police today said that it has registered a case against miscreants who were pelting stones on vehicles at Sunergund in Budgam district of Central Kashmir and during which one person was critically injured.
A police spokesman said: “Police received information that at Sunergund in Budgam, some miscreants were pelting stones on moving vehicles on April 12. During this stone pelting, Aijaz Ahmad Ganie who was driving a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK04-7285 was seriously injured and suffered critical injuries.”
The spokesman said his vehicle also got damaged by the stones. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Budgam for treatment where from he was shifted to SKIMS Soura Srinagar for further treatment. “A case FIR number 86/2017 under Sections 147, 148, 336, 427, 323/RPC has been registered and investigation was taken up,” the spokesman added.
