Police recover stolen mobiles, accessories

Srinagar, Nov 14: Police today said it have solved burglary case and recovered stolen mobiles and accessories in Ganderbal and Bandipora district of Kashmir.
A police spokesman said a written complaint was lodged by Imran Ashraf Reshi in police station Safapora wherein he stated that during the intervening night of September 1 and 2 this year, some unknown persons had stolen mobiles and accessories from his shop by breaking the backside wall.
“On receipt of the complaint, a case under FIR number 31/2017 under Section 379 RPC was registered in police station Safapora and investigation taken up,” he said, adding that a special team was formulated in this regard. During the course of investigation, a suspect namely Shabir Ahmad Dar was rounded up and questioned.
“During questioning, he confessed that he along with Hilal Ahmad Mir committed the theft. On the disclosure of both arrested persons, 19 mobiles, 58 headphones, 20 mobile chargers and other mobile accessories were recovered from their houses in Safapora and Saderkot Bala areas of Ganderbal and Bandipora districts respectively,” said the spokesman.
The police spokesman said that further investigation in the case is going on and more recoveries and arrests are expected.
