Police prevent boy from joining Zakir Musa group

Srinagar, Dec 12: Police today said that a boy hailing from Rainawari area of downtown Srinagar was arrested and thus prevented from joining militant outfit Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind which is headed by Zakir Musa.
SSP Ganderbal, Fayaz Ahmad Lone said a boy from Rainawari was arrested today early morning at Qamria Chowk in main town of Ganderbal district. He said that the boy was in surveillance and being tracked as he was in contact with some Pakistani militants who are also under surveillance.
“Acting on a tip off, police intercepted the boy. He was in touch with Pakistani militants on social media sites and later on confessed that he was going to join Ansar Ghazwatul Hind,” the SSP said, adding that after counseling, the boy was handed over to his parents. He appealed parents to watch the activities of their children and prevent from those elements who wash their minds to indulge in militant activities.
