The protestors said that various Pay Anomaly Committees have been framed and they have given their opinion and approvals from time to time. While the first pay anomaly Committee was framed in the year October 2009 which recommended removal of pay anomalies in its report. The second Committee was constituted on September 15, 2011 and Government revived the Pay Anomaly Committee in 2012 but its report is not found in Civil Secretariat any where.
Later the Third Committee was framed in April 2016 and the Forum apprehends that it may too not meet the same fate which the other two pay anomaly committees have met. It demanded that the Government should intimate that by what time the report will be implemented as the demand is lingering for last 20 years.
The protestors said that Finance Department sought clarification from DG Police regarding the pay anomalies to retired ASIs and HCs and the DG gave its report intimating the amount involved in this regard and the Forum demanded that this amount be released in favour of the Department so that the pay anomalies are removed.
It also demanded cashless health care policy be provided to the retired police personnel on the pattern of army and other para military forces. The Forum has made an appeal to Chief Minister to release the Hardship Allowance which was announced during the holy Amarnath yatra and the employees who have completed the service of ten years and the above should be given promotions to next higher posts and the retirement policy of the Police Department should be similar to other paramilitary forces.
