SRINAGAR, Feb 14: As a part of its Civic Action Programme, Police installed water pumps in various villages of Baramulla district today.
A police spokesman said four water hand pumps were installed in the villages falling in the vicinity of Armed Police Complex Parihaspora in Baramulla.
“These water pumps were installed on the request of general public of these areas as the area is drought prone and there is acute water scarcity,” he said
“The villagers highlighted several problems being faced by them like construction of roads, by-lanes, drainage and street lights and they were assured that their problems shall be brought to the notice of higher Police and concerned civil authorities,” he added.
