SOPORE, Apr 9: To build good Police-Public relations apart from promoting sports and games in the area, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Sopore distributed sports gear among Government Schools, under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Police District Headquarters, here today.
The sports gear included volleyball, volleyball net, football, football net, carrom board, handball, softball, rugby ball, ladoo snakes, basketball and throw ball.
These items were distributed among Govt Primary School Yimran Bomai; Govt Middle School, Bonpora Behrampora; Govt Boys Middle School, Kutroo Naribal Rafiabad and Govt Middle School Kamad Rafiabad.
The Police authorities said that this initiative taken by Sopore Police, apart from enhancing Police-Public relation, promotes sports culture among the youth and helps them to say no to drugs.
