KISHTWAR, May 19: Police distributed 116 crash helmets among the youth at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, here today.
The crash helmets were distributed by SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir under Civic Action Programme (CAP).
SSP also briefed the students regarding traffic rules and exhorted them to wear helmets while driving.
On the occasion, Irshad Ahmed, Deputy SP Operations Kishtwar, Manoj Kumar, Dy SP DAR DPL Kishtwar, Promila Sharma, Principal Government Boys Higher Secondary School Kishtwar, prominent persons and staff members of the school were present.
Later, a bike rally was taken out in the town to make people aware and inspire to wear helmets for their safety and security.
