SRINAGAR, Apr 9: Police raided a gambling site and arrested five gamblers at Chattergam area here today.
A Police spokesman said five gamblers were arrested and the stake money of Rs 23000 and playing cards were recovered from the gambling site.
The gamblers were identified as Bilal Ahmad Paul, a resident of Methan Chanapora, Nazir Ahmad Koka, a resident of Doniwari Zonipora, Manzoor Ahmad Dar, a resident of Kuthipora, Hafeezullah Bhat, a resident of Gangipora and Ali Mohd Dar, a resident of Chattergam.
“In this regard case FIR No. 35/2018 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered and investigation taken up,” he said.
