JAMMU, May 16: Departments of Political Science, Law and SHTM registered wins over their rivals in the ongoing Inter-Department Cricket Tournament at Jammu University ground, here today.
In the first match, Political Science Department defeated History Department by 7 wickets. History Department scored 97 runs in 10 overs, while Pol Science Department chased the target in 8.1 overs. Zain was the top scorer with 45 runs.
In another match, Law Department got better of Economics Department by 7 wickets. Economics Deptt scored 103 runs in 10 overs, while Law Department chased the target in 9.1 overs. Vikram’s 72 off 35 balls went in vain as Paras Sharma’s 32 helps Law Department to win,
In the third match of the day, SHTM Department defeated Commerce Department by a narrow margin of 18 runs. SHTM scored 95 runs in the stipulated 10 overs, while Commerce Department could manage to score 77 runs, thus lost the match by 18 runs. Aditya top scored with 28 runs.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Vijay Kuamr, Raman Kumar, Vinod and Raj Kumar Bakshi.
