As you move around, your smartphone will vibrate to let you know you’re near a Pokemon. Once you’ve encountered a Pokemon, aim it on your smartphone’s touch screen and throw a pokeball to catch it. Be careful when you try to catch it, or it might run away! Also look for pokestops located at interesting places, such as public art installations, historical markers, and monuments, where you can collect more pokeballs and other items.
Photo Fun
When you encounter a Pokemon, you can turn on the camera, putting the wild Pokemon within your camera frame. Then capture the moment with the in-game camera that you can find in your Bag. Line up your shot and hit the shutter button to take the photo. The snapshot will then be saved to your smartphone’s photos for you to share in however you’d like.
Playing in Jammu area
We have been playing the game throughout the week, here and there in Trikuta Nagar, Gandhi Nagar etc, few things that we’ve observed:
Internet connection is mandatory for the game. To play this game you must have mobile data and GPS enabled.
We caught quite a few Pokemons in Trikuta Nagar. Our first catch was a Bulbasaur, then Ekans, weedle etc. Some most commonly available are Weedle, Krabby, etc. We had a chance to catch an Ivasaur.
Many people asked us what we were doing. Like “Aie ke karra de o”. Upon telling them, they laughed about it. Few told us that we could be the next Pokemon master. Like yantragyan on facebook for more information. At last, we were motivated in life.
Game drains your battery like a thirsty leech. Be prepared with a better and bigger internet data pack.
Throwing the pokeballs takes a little practice. It’s more like the game, we used to play where we had to aim a paper ball in a dustbin.
So this brings us to the point. You’ll end up wasting a lot of pokrballs if you suck at aiming like us. Nevertheless, you get many as you level up but sideways keep getting better at aiming.
There are Pokemon gyms located in near surroundings. It’ll show you a picture and you might have to do some figuring out. Amar Singh Club was a gym shown in our Game.
Launch in India
Game will be launched in India soon. No specific date has been fixed by the Company. There is speculation that game will be launched in August.
It will use the video of the outside world from your camera and augment it with a Pokemon, thus making it real to you, or any other player in the world.
