PoK resident with old currency notes detained

POONCH,  Feb 20: A PoK resident was detained after Rs 4500 cash in old  currency was recovered from him at Chakkan-da-Bagh cross LoC point while there was not even single Indian passenger from the either side in the cross LoC bus today.
Official sources said that the security agencies detained one Aurangzeb, son of Mehmood Khan, resident of  Khuiratta in Kotli (PoK), when he was returning to PoK at the cross LoC point this morning. Nine old currency notes of  500 denomination were recovered from his possession. The authorities detained him for some time and then allowed to move back to Kotli. The banned currency was seized.
Meanwhile, total 32 passengers today exchanged sides at the  Chakkan-da-Bagh cross LOC point in Poonch  but not even a single passenger from  India (J&K) was seen in any bus. All the 11 passengers returning to PoK were the residents of that side of the LoC while 21 new visitors arrived here from the PoK in the Muzaffrabad -Poonch bus.  It has been alleged that Pakistani authorities were not clearing many pending cases of the residents from J&K.
