PoK, Gilgit, Baltistan, portion with China integral part of India: BJP chief

JAMMU, May 17: Maintaining that Pak occupied Kashmir, (PoK), Gilgit and Baltistan as well as part of the State under forcible occupation of China are integral parts of India, the newly appointed BJP State president, Ravinder Raina today said that one day we will take these areas back.
Raina who was addressing a rally organised by party in according welcome to him on becoming the State president at BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar near here , said if there is any issue in J&K that is to the area of the State which has been under forcible occupation of Pakistan and China and we have to retrieve it at any cost.

He, while giving kudos to Dogras said world knows the history of Dogras who are the great warriors. “We have produced the warriors and brave hearts like Gen Zorawar Singh who crossed Mansarover in 43 Degree Celsius and unfurled the flag in Tibet. “If Dogras wish they can even unfurl the National Tricolor in Pakistan also’’, he added.
The BJP president said that coming to power is good but the party workers should not forget the basic mantra that nation is first, party second and self third. A BJP activist has to act like a Swayamsevak and surrender every thing before his motherland, he added.
“We have to discharge our responsibility honestly and with dedication and when any party man finds that Ravinder Raina has failed in his duty he can communicate me and I will not lose even a second in stepping down’’, he added.
Talking to reporters at the sidelines of the function Raina said that unilateral ceasefire does not mean that forces will remain as mute spectators and do not fire when they are being attacked by militants.
Earlier Raina was given a tumultuous welcome by BJP activists the majority of whom was youth from Jammu Airport to party office. He was taken into cavalcade of vehicles and greeted by swords by the enthusiastic and jubilant party men.
Addressing the rally Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta while terming the ceasefire announcement by Union Government a good decision however made it clear that if anyone targets us we reserve the right to retaliate with full might.
He said no party worker will be ignored by the present team of BJP ministers and everyone will be taken along. “Our resolve should be strong then the goal will not be away’’.
Maintaining that BJP has base in Jammu but in Government we are committed to look into the interests of people of all three regions including Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh by taking the slogan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’’to every part of the State,.
Admitting that there were some shortcomings in past, he said the party failed to deal with the issues like Koteranka and Rassana and two BJP ministers had to submit resignations.
He said yesterday a marathon meeting of party leadership and ministers was held to devise the strategy so that the Government schemes will reach to the people in every nook and corner.
Minister of Housing and Urban Development and out going president of the party, Sat Sharma said that the shortcomings in the party witnessed during last two and half years will be over come by Raina as he is an energetic and vibrant leader.
He said when BJP was not in the Government there were less challenges for us but now they have increased.
Ashok Kaul, organisational general secretary stressed on maintain discipline in the party which he said is the hallmark of its growth.
Minister of PHE, Irrigation and FC, Sham Choudhary, former ministers, C P Ganga and Priya Sethi also spoke on the occasion while the stage was managed by Party general secretary, Pawan Khajuria.
