RAMBAN, Dec 26: People of tehsil Pogal Paristan protested against Power Development Department (PDD) alleging non availability and unscheduled frequent cuts of electricity in the tehsil since last one week.
A large number of people, under the leadership of president Beopar Mandal tehsil Pogal Paristan Ukharal, took out a protest rally towards Tehsildar Office Ukharal. All shops and business establishments also remained closed for the whole day in protest against PDD.
Along with president Beopar Mandal Pogal Paristan Ukharal, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party general secretary Seva Singh Bali also joined the protest rally and assembled near Tehsildar office Pogal Paristan Ukharal.
AEE Power Development Department said that due to non availability of adequate staff in tehsil, the Department was facing such kind of difficulties. He assured to streamline the power supply within seven working days.
