JAMMU, Oct 28: PNB MetLife launched ‘Mera Jeevan Suraksha Plan’ (MJSP); a life protection plan, that ensures financial security by providing tailor-made cover options for the customer to choose from.
The product is aimed at providing a life cover to the policyholder and protecting his/her family’s future goals, in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Speaking at the launch, Khalid Ahmad Head – Product Management said, “PNB MetLife has always endeavoured to offer innovative solutions tailored to the evolving financial needs of our customers. Our latest offering – Mera Jeevan Suraksha Plan -is a comprehensive protection plan that allows customers to choose the life cover option most suited to their lifestage and appropriate for their lifestyle. This plan also offers unique benefits such as ‘joint life benefit’ or ‘return of premiums’ option.”
In this plan, the customer can opt for the cover option as per his or her needs, the cover option chosen would determine the payout proceeds to the family, in the form of either a lump sum or part lump sum and part income. This provides a much-needed choice to the customer and offers option to ensure that regular income continues for the family in case of demise of the primary breadwinner.
For example, if ‘Life Partner’ benefit option is chosen, then both the life assured and his/her spouse are protected within the same plan. If something were to happen to the life assured, his/her spouse would receive a lump sum death benefit and all future premiums within the policy would be waived off. In case of subsequent death of the spouse, the family will receive an additional lumpsum.
If either of the income benefit options (fixed income or increasing income) chosen, an immediate lumpsum would be paid out in case something happens to the life assured. This would be followed by monthly income payouts for the next 10 years. This income is chosen at inception and can be fixed or increasing every year, based on the option selected.
In addition to death, diagnosis of terminal illness is also covered in Mera Jeevan Suraksha Plan.
Additionally, if the life assured survives to the end of term, all premiums will be paid back, if ‘return of premiums’ option is chosen.
