JAMMU, Jan 30: Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Punjab National Bank today organized a function at Government Middle school, Harsha Dabber, Bishnah in which school uniform and stationery items were distributed to school children.
The function was inaugurated by Mohd Latif Mir, Deputy General Manager, Circle Head J&K Operations who was accompanied by Vasundra Gupta, Principal of the school.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Mir said that on the martyrdom day of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi, PNB is observing this day as “Vikas Day” all over India.
He informed that PNB has adopted this village of Harsha Dabber and is working on the overall development of the village.
Mr Mir reiterated the commitment of the Bank towards empowering growth and all-round development of the school children. He conveyed that under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the Bank, Bank shall always be at the forefront of taking philanthropic initiatives in the State.
Mrs Vasundra appreciated the role of PNB in taking philanthropic initiatives in the State.
R V S Jasrotia, Chief Manager, Circle Office Jammu, S S Chib, District Coordinator PNB, Lt Neeraj Anand, Sr Manager Security, Manoj Sihara, Sr Manager Agriculture, G L Lochan, Manager PNB Bishnah, staff members of the school and large number of school children were present at the function.
