PNB adopts 168 villages under CSR Scheme

JAMMU, Apr 15: Under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has adopted more than 168 villages in different States for their intensive economic development under PNB Vikas Village Adoption Scheme.
The bank is also popularizing education among the girls in rural and semi urban areas under its PNB Laadli Scheme.
The PNB today conducted CSR activities spearheading the initiatives under its Corporate Social Responsibilities. GS Gandhoke, Zonal Manager Shimla Zone donated water cooler at Jammu Red Cross House for the Handicapped.
Continuing the spree, Solar street lights installed by the bank at adopted village Dab Ditta and Dub Karam Din of Tehsil Marh, were handed over to the respective Panchayats in the presence of Tehsildar Marh. The girl child students of adopted schools were provided with bags, books, other stationery items and solar lanterns under PNB Laadli Scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, Gandhoke apprised the gathering of the various welfare schemes of the bank under Corporate Social Responsibility activities. Students were encouraged to undergo educational aspirations and fulfil their dreams of education through various education loan schemes of the bank. BS Raina, Circle Head, Jammu circle addressed the gathering and apprised the latest initiatives of Bank for empowerment of rural masses.
Later, in the evening newly opened Khour branch customer meet and loan sanction letters were issued to the borrowers by GS Gandhoke Zonal Manager. He also exhorted the customers to avail various products and services of the Bank and assured them of best of services.
