JAMMU, Feb 3: At the inaugural session of the 101st Indian Science Congress Association, the ISCA awards for the year 2013-14 were presented to various eminent scientists.
Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh presented these awards to the following eminent scientists.
Dr Rajendra Laxman Karandikar from Tamilnadu received the P C Mahalanobis Birth Centenary award, Prof S M Paul Khurana from Nodia received the J C Bose Memorial Award, Dr G Satheesh Reddy, from Hyderabad received the H J Bhabha Memorial Award, Prof PC Trivedi from Gorakhpur received the B P Pal Memorial Award, and Prof Avijit Banerjee from Kolkata was presented with the Prof R C Mehrotra Memorial Life Time Achievement Award.
On the occasion mementos were also presented to Scientists and Science Propagators including Nobel laureate, Dr Y T Lee, Prof Yash Paul, Prof R P Bambah, Prof Krishan Lal, Prof N S Dhalla,  Prof Avtar Krishnan, Prof S K Sarin, Dr T Ramasami, Prof A K Sood, Prof Avinash Chander, Prof V P Kambhoj, Prof I J S Bansal, Prof Ashok Saxena, Prof S S Katujar, V M Trehan and Prof Goverdhan Mehta.
