JAMMU, July 31: The members of All J&K Plus 2 PSC Lecturers Organization held a meeting with Director School Education (DSE) HR Pakhru and apprised him about their grievances.
While speaking, the members highlighted the resentment among the lecturers cadre regarding the non-adherence of the transfer policy in the transfers made in the recent past. While short distance transfers and premature transfers have been affected in many cases, there are lecturers who are posted in Leh, Kargil and many far away stations in Jammu province, who have been transferred despite having completed the stipulated time, they added.
They said that many lecturers are working at stations far away from their residences in other districts for the last 4, 5 and even 6 years without any hearing or justice, adding that non-implementation of transfer policy is becoming a cause of resentment which is vitiating the moral and academic atmosphere of the School Education Department.
They urged DSE to facilitate the repatriation of the lecturers posted in Leh and order the transfer of the lecturers serving in the far away stations of Jammu province for more than three years.
They also apprised DSE about the non-release of the salary under NPS due to non-release of the 10 per cent Government contribution under 2071 head on time.
DSE gave patient hearing and assured that their grievances would be sorted out in the near future.
The delegation comprised of Ajay Billoria, Sandeep Sharma, Pawan Kumar, Rishi Kumar, Rakesh Choudhary, Manjit Chib, Neha Sharma and Kanchan Sharma.
