Plus 2 Officers Association submits memorandum of demands to Ganai

JAMMU, July 23: A delegation of All J&K Plus 2 Officers Association, led by its president, Dr P P Raina, called on Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, Advisor to the Governor, here today and submitted him a memorandum of demands.
Is per the memorandum, the Association demanded  Assured Career progression for Plus 2 Cadre to remove stagnation and Pay anomalies of Lecturers and Principals as there are so many persons who get retired even after rendering 20 to 25 years of service in the same grade and status.
The Association also demanded regularisation of all cadre officers from Lecturers to the Jt Directors in a least possible time frame who are struggling for the last even more than 10 years and for which a process has been initiated but in a very slow pace.
The Association said that there should be a Departmental Examination to be conducted by Public Service Commission through which Principals, CEOs, Jt Directors may be promoted/appointed by the Department while all the posts of JKBOSE should be filled up from the School Education Department for the better efficiency and know how of the Department and to restore the glory of School Education Officers.
The Association further demanded  that the in service quota for appointment as Asstt Professor in Government Degree Colleges from the School Education Department be restored and enhanced to 50 percent for the eligible candidates with upper age limit 48 years,
Other demands, highlighted in the memorandum, included; filling up of all vacant posts of Lecturers, Principals and equivalents, CEO’s and equivalents and Joint Directors, provision of non vacational status in favour of the staff engaged in summer and winter vacations, including Principals and Lecturers, sanction of higher start to M Phil and Ph D Degree holders as is applicable in Higher Education Department and sanction of full pay scales for the Lecturers appointed under SRO 202. at an earliest to restore the confidence among the teaching community.
The delegation   comprised of Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Narinder Kumar Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Kapil Banotra, Romi Kumar, Prem Pal Verma, Sanjeev Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar Pandita, Suresh Raina, Balwant Kumar, Mohan Lal, Zakir Mohd,   Ravesh Saraf and others.
