JAMMU, Jan 10: A monthly meeting of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held today under the chairpersonship of Kiranjeet Kour, State president of the Forum, wherein various demands and problems of the Plus 2 lecturers were discussed in detail.
While addressing the meeting, Kour appealed the Government to address all the genuine issues concerning State Government employees and demanded the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission at the earliest besides sanctioning HRA at uniform rates to all the employees across the length and breadth of the State and enhancement in Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 3000. She said that the Forum has full solidarity with the Employees Joint Action Committee.
Deepak Sharma, working president of the Forum appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to grant Running Grade Pattern (Time Bound Promotion) in favour of Plus 2 Cadre to remove age long stagnation in service and expedite the process of regularization of all Incharge incumbents including Joint Directors, CEOs, Principals and Lecturers pending since Jan 2008.
Speakers also criticized the functioning of J&K BOSE and demanded a fixed Examination Calendar for want of which student community suffers a lot and also added that recent enhancement in Supervisory Rates by the J&K BOSE is not sufficient as demanded earlier by the Forum.
House in one voice demanded that confidential material pertaining to Higher Secondary Part II Exams must be supplied at respective Examination Centres by BOSE officials/police personnel and the routine to get the same from the police stations by the Superintendents must be done away with, otherwise Plus 2 Community will be forced to boycott the Examinations near future.
Forum also stressed that inspection teams of Board should have considerable representation from the Plus 2 Cadre and further demanded that appointment of Co-Inspectors must be restored for fair and smooth conduct of Examination as already agreed by the Chairman.
