JAMMU, Jan 3: A meeting of central body of All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers’ Forum was held under the chairmanship of working president Deepak Sharma, in which various issues pertaining to Plus-2 cadre were discussed threadbare.
Forum appealed the Governor to ascertain from the Government about its illogical decision of appointment of KAS officers as Joint Directors without assigning any induction quota to officers drawn from School Education Department.
Deepak Sharma said that since Plus-2 Lecturers/School Education Department is not a feeding cadre to KAS, their officers can’t be appointed without assigning induction quota. Speakers said that Plus-2 community is already facing a worst type of stagnation in the absence of Running Grade Pattern/Time Bound Promotion while the appointment of KAS officers has further curtailed the already limited avenues of promotion.
Forum demanded that either Jt Directors (Administration) should be appointed from School Education Department only or induction quota should be fixed for Plus-2 Lecturers/Officers of the School Education Department. Forum assailed the discriminatory decision of Govt in which they have created promotion avenues for one cadre (KAS) and curtailed for other (Education).
Forum also demanded immediate adjustment of newly promoted CEOs out of whom one has already retired. They also demanded adjustment and utilization of services of newly selected lecturers awaiting their postings at the Directorate of School Education Jammu for months together.
Forum also appealed Government to issue formal order for drawal of full salary in respect of newly appointed Plus-2 Lecturers  who have already been exempted from SRO- 202.
Forum reiterated its demand to sanction of Running Grade Pattern/Time Bound promotion in favour of Plus-2 Lecturers, regularization of all Incharge incumbents right from Lecturers to Jt Directors, removal of pay anomaly of Physical Education Lecturers and Plus-2 Principals and enhancement of their grade pay, restoration of non-vacational status to Plus-2 Principals and 40 percent College quota to Lecturers.
