JAMMU, June 3: All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers Forum has demanded adjustment of newly promoted Lecturers.
A meeting of the Forum was held today under the chairmanship of its president N S Jamwal for discussing various issues confronting the cadre.
The meet opined that the promotions effected by the School Education Department is  a positive sign and fulfills the long standing demand of the Forum for providing adequate staff in the schools. However, the lecturers who were promoted have not yet been adjusted and this is a cause of worry, participants of the meet added.
The meet pointed out that promotion list of Senior Lecturers/Principals is still awaited and a number of institutions are without Principals with the result that day to day functioning in these schools is marred.
The Forum demanded that the promotions orders of Principals/Senior Lecturers as per SRO 481 be effected without any further delay.
The meet also highlighted some other issues, which include re-organisation of the department, non-vocational status to the Principals, release of salary of Lecturers under Plan scheme and regularization of incharge officers of the department.
Those who spoke in the meeting, included Charan Dass, Tarsem Singh, Talib Hussain, Pardeep Singh Rakwal, Dr Majid Choudhary, Romesh Lal Sharma, O P Katoch, Deepak Sharma and Ghar Singh.
