Players show composure, serenity in State Handball C’ship

JAMMU Feb 18: Players showed composure, promise and serenity, besides displayed extraordinary skill on Day-2 of the J&K State Handball Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Handball Association at MA Stadium, here.
In the first match in men’s section today, District Baramulla defeated District Rajouri by ten goals to two (10-2). The main scorer from Baramulla was Nissar Ahmed who scored 5 goals.
In another match in men’s section STC defeated Poonch by nineteen goals to three (19-3).The main scorer of the STC was Rahat who netted 8 goals.
In women’s section, District Udhampur defeated District Bararmulla by twelve goals to nil (12-0).From Udhampur, Shivani was the star performer with 3 goals.
In another match in women’s section, Jammu Red defeated District Jammu by ten goals to two (10-2) and the main scorer for Jammu Red was Kashish Baru, who scored 4 goals.
In the finals to be played tomorrow, STC will take on Jammu in men’s section, while in women’s section, Jammu Red will lock horns with Udhampur.
