Players display skill on day-2 of Army’s Kabaddi Tournament

MENDHAR, Apr 23: Players displayed extraordinary skill and talent on day-2 of the ongoing Kabaddi Tournament, being organized by Army at the OP Hill Stadium, here.
The Tournament is being held as an annul feature to celebrate Mendhar Shahidi Diwas to reach out to the youth of Mendhar and to commemorate the martyrdom of the brave citizens of Mendhar Tehsil, who laid down their lives supporting the Army during the 1965 Indo-Pak War.
The tournament got underway in the presence of Army officials, SDPO Mendhar, civil dignitaries, school children and a large number of local youths.
The event has received an overwhelming response from the youth of Mendhar and adjoining areas, with a total of 8 teams comprising 80 players participating in the event. The event has provided a platform to the local youth to showcase their skills in front of their home crowd.
Earlier, in the inaugural match, Amir Club, Dakhi defeated Friends Club, Harni (61-29). The players of both the teams showed extraordinary skills in a well fought game. Finally, Amir Club, Dakhi held their nerves and emerged as the winners.
