Pistachio up on rising demand

NEW DELHI, Jan 7: Pistachio prices edged up by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today owing to increased buying by retailers and stockists amid fall in supplies from overseas markets.
Prices of pistachio hairati and peshwari rose by Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 1,255-1,355 and Rs 1,405-1,505 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased offtake by retailers and stockists amid fall in supplies from overseas markets, mainly pushed up pistachio prices at the dryfruits market.

Almond (California) Rs 17,200-17,400,
Almond(Gurbandi-new) Rs 12,000-12,200, Almond (Girdhi) Rs 5,600-5,700; Abjosh Afghani Rs 5,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 605-615 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 725-825 per kg. (PTI)
