PHE workers to launch agitation from Dec 11

JAMMU, Nov 29:  The PHE workers and employees have decided to launch agitation from  December 11 in support of their long pending demands.
In a meeting of the employees held under the banner of PHE Workers Welfare Association, the members unanimously decided to launch agitation. They strongly condemned the indifferent attitude of the Government and said that despite several representation to the Chief Engineer and the Minister  for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control nothing has been done in this regard.
Provincial general secretary Subash Verma while speaking on the occasion expressed strong resentment over the attitude of the higher authorities. He said that senior officer and the even the concerned minister, have miserably failed to address the genuine issues of the PHE employees/ workers. There is stagnation in the department due to non-conduct of DPC since long. The employees are not getting wages in time and many employees are not given designations as per their nature of job.
The speakers also sought withdrawal of the order No. 227 of 2010. They said that left out categories of employees given benefit of SRO 59 be treated at par with the employees already covered under said SRO. They declared that from  December 11, 2015 the PHE workers would launch agitation / protest demonstration at PHE complex B C Road Jammu.
Prominent among others present in the meeting included Rattan Doshi, Chuni Lal, Manzoor Ali, Ram Labhaya, Kulbhushan Nanda, Ashok Kumar, Vijant Kumar and Kuldip Kumar.
