JAMMU, Feb 26: The PHE workers are going on two days strike from tomorrow in Jammu region.
General secretary of the PHE Workers Welfare Association, Subhash Verma said that as already declared, the PHE employees and all type of temporary workers would go on Kam Chhod Hartal from today. All the water pumping / lift stations would stop functioning in view of the strike of the workers of PHE department on February 27 and 28.
Verma regretted the inconvenience being caused to the general public due to non-supply of water and held State Government and especially, the PHE Minister responsible for the same. He said that workers have not been paid by the Govt for the last 35 to 40 months and they are not being regularized despite rendering more than 15 years of service.
