PHE employees hold rally, highlights demands

JAMMU, Sept 15: Demanding redressal of their long pending demands, PHE employees held a rally at Gordi.
Amid slogans PHE Employees from various areas of the district, led by Som Nath, district president, INTUC and senior vice president of the PHE Association Jammu Province, assembled at Gordi, and took out a rally.
Som Nath, while speaking, said that the Government is playing with the sentiments of the PHE employees. He demanded, release of wages pending for the last 11 months, transfer of the employees near to their residences, appointment of new workers under CSS, conversion of CP workers as daily wagers, benefits of SRO 64 and opening of J&K Bank branch at Gordi.
He urged the Government to redress the demands of the class IV and CP workers at the earliest.
Among others who spoke were Rattan Singh, Vijay Kumar, Suraj Parkash, Subash Chander, Dinesh Kesar, Charan Dass, Madan Lal, Ramesh Kumar, Krishan Lal and Sandokh Chand.
