PHE daily wagers hold protest, demand regularization

JAMMU, Sept 1: J&K PHE ITI Trained and CP workers Union today held a protest demonstration here in front of Press Club demanding regularization of all daily wagers of the department.
A large number of daily wagers and other employees of the department under the leadership of Union president, Tanveer Hussain, assembled this morning in front of Press Club Jammu and raised slogans against the Government and PHE Minister for ignoring the demands of the association for regularization of daily wagers of the department.
While speaking on the occasion, Tanveer Hussain said that the PHE Minister has made commitment with the Union on May 23 this year to regularize all daily wagers of the department, but even after the lapse of three months, he has failed to fulfill his commitment.
The Union warned the Government to solve their long pending issue before September 8 failing which all daily wagers of the department will start a massive protest and observe complete shutdown throughout Jammu Province.
The Union president also appealed all daily wagers, ITI Trained, CP workers and Need-based workers to unite and give full support to the massive ‘Kaam Choro Hartal’ on September 9 in front of the chief office PHE Complex, BC Road, Jammu at 9 am.
He also urged other associations of PHE Department to support the ‘Kaam Choro Hartal’ of PHE ITI Trained and CP Workers Union for the betterment of daily wagers.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion were Deepak Gupta, Subhash Chander, Kulbhushan Singh and many others.
