JAMMU, Jan 18: The J&K Postgraduate Masters Association has urged upon the School Education authorities to clear the pending cases of promotions of the PG Master grade teachers.
In a press statement issued here today, the members of the body alleged that many teachers obtained PG Degree in Science from Annamalai University and their cases of promotion were pending for the last over an year on the plea that verification of the documents was in progress. The directorate staff claims degrees have been sent for verification and the hapless teachers were waiting for action in this regard.
They pointed out that State Cabinet has resolved the matter of validity of degrees obtained through distance mode of the Education vide Cabinet decision No. 104/14/2012 on 16-05/2012 which was later circulated by the Department of Higher Education vice its No. 252-HE of 2012 on 30-05-2012. Therefore the degree under this distance education mode is also covered under the same order. They sought intervention of Education Minister in this regard.
