JAMMU, Sept 20: PG Department and Government College for Women (GCW) Parade Jammu sealed berth in the finals of the Inter-Collegiate Handball (Women) Tournament 2017-18, being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at University Sports Stadium, here.
Earlier, PG Department defeated GCW Udhampur by 8-2 goals, while GCW Parade got the better of GDC Kathua by 10-01 goals.
Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the inaugural ceremony.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Prof Neha Gupta, Dr Vinod Bakshi, Suman Sharma, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Jai Bharat and Vikas Karlopia.
The matches were officiated by a technical panel of experts including Karun Magotra, Gourav Sharma, Priya Devi, Vinay Sharma and Vipin.
The final match will be played between PG Department and GCW Parade at 10 am tomorrow.
