Petrol gets expensive again; touches Rs 90 a litre mark

NEW DELHI: The prices of petrol in the country increased for the third consecutive day on Saturday with that crawling near Rs 90 a litre in Mumbai.

However, the prices of diesel remained steady on Saturday.

According to information received from Indian Oil Corporation, the country’s largest oil marketing company, the petrol price rose by 11 paise to Rs 82.44 a litre in Delhi. Diesel remained stable at Rs 73.87 a litre. Diesel’s prices remained constant for the fourth day.

In the financial capital Mumbai, price of petrol has gone up by 11 paise to close to Rs 90. Price of a liter petrol is Rs 89.80. Diesel sells at Rs 78.42 a litre. (AGENCIES)
