Peripheral hospitals to be equipped with modern healthcare systems: Sham

TANGMARG, Nov 22: Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Sham Lal Sharma today said that Government is committed to provide all basic and necessary healthcare facilities to all peripheral hospitals of the State. He said that the steps have been already initiated for equipping all peripheral hospitals with fully loaded Critical Care Ambulances, CT Scan and other lifesaving healthcare facilities.
Minister was addressing a seminar on “Management of Acute Surgical and Medical Emergencies in Peripheral Hospitals” organized by Directorate of Health Services Kashmir at Regional Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Dhobiwan Tangmarg.
Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director NRHM, Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Project Director AIDS, Rakesh Khajuria, Drug Controller J&K, Suresh Gupta besides a large number of doctors including senior specialists and experts and officers of Health Department and organizer of the event Dr. Khurshid Iqbal were present on the occasion
Mr. Sharma urged upon the medical and paramedical staff to maintain the sanctity of their profession by performing their duties with dedication, passion and spirit of humanity and sympathy besides utilize efforts so that people can get better healthcare facilities at their door steps.
Earlier, Minister also visited two days training workshop on Training of Accounts Managers for Implementation of Central Plan Scheme Monitoring System (CPSMS) Training course organized by State Health Society NRHM J&K in collaboration with Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
