UDHAMPUR, May 15: People from within and outside the district thronged Moungri during the second day of Mela and paid their obeisance to Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva.
A large number of men, women and children were seen enjoying sweets and other eatables besides fun rides.
Various sports activities were also organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports, Udhampur. Cultural troops from various educational institutions presented folk dances depicting the diverse Dogra culture.
The district administration has made adequate arrangements of water, electricity, healthcare, security, transport etc. for the successful conduct of the mela. Awareness stalls were also put up by many departments on the occasion.
Among others, Tehsildar Moungri, Amit Kumar Verma, Dy SP Shakeel Bhat, SHO, Pushapjeet Singh, BDO Moungri, teachers and local mela committee members were present on the occasion.
