DODA, Nov 23: People of Doda constituency will reject all such political parties which are dreaming polarization and division of society on communal basis in the Chenab valley region.
It was stated by R&B Minister Abdul Majid Wani, while addressing series of public meetings at Kalhota, Bhatru, Hud and Malhori in Doda today. Mr Wani said that people of Doda are quite aware and intelligent enough to understand hidden agendas of NC and BJP and shall vote only to elect Congress candidate as their MLA and Ghulam Nabi Azad as Chief Minister of J&K State so as to enable them continue with their mission of peace, development and prosperity in the area.
He said people of Doda constituency understand, well that real politician or a leader is one who can take along the people of all religions, communities and regions and not the one who thrive on polarization. This is evident from the fact that hundreds of National Conference & BJP workers are joining Congress party during last few days.
“I have dedicated my life for alleviating poor people of Doda, especially those living in far flung rural areas. These people have been empowered fully by bringing revenue administration at their door steps with creation of new tehsils, Niabats, Blocks and Patwar Halqas. As MLA, I conceived and got started a number of major infrastructural development projects in Doda with support of Ghulam Nabi Azad. In fact, unprecedented developmental activities were started in the State with focus on building of roads, bridges, mini secretariat buildings at district level, new district hospital buildings, tourism development authorities, inter-regional highways, schools, colleges, off-site university campuses, Medical college and health infrastructure,” he added.
Lashing out at BJP, Wani said, “Many years back, BJP had befooled people of whole country on the pretext of constructing Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Sometimes, they try to cash on communal riots and sometimes they try to create tension among different communities on Amarnath land row and sometimes they announce to abrogate Article 370. These self styled political leaders are deep enemies of whole Chenab Valley, he maintained.
