UDHAMPUR, Sept 30: A protest demonstration by locals was organized by senior Congress leader and INTUC State secretary Sumeet Magotra against alleged supply and use of expired medicines in District Hospital Udhampur.
The protesting people raised slogans against Health Minister Bali Bhagat and CMO holding them responsible for the alleged supply and use of expired medicines and injections.
The protesting people assembled near DC office and then blocked the Dhar Road for several hours amidst raising of slogans against the Health Minister and CMO.
While addressing the gathering, Magotra alleged that expired medicines and injections were being used in District Hospital Udhampur. He appealed Deputy Commissioner Udhampur to look into the matter and initiate an inquiry in this regard as the matter is related with human lives.
He also warned that if appropriate action is not taken, the Congress activist will initiate a mass agitation against Health Department and State Government.
