POONCH, Jan 31: A large number of people from Shia community of Muslims today held strong protest demonstration against Pakistan for the killing of 61 members from Shia sect in a bombing by some miscreants at a religious place in Pakistan on Friday.
A large number of people from Shia sect assembled at Imambara in Poonch city and then held strong protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against Pakistan and Pak premier Nawaz Sharief. They alleged that Pakistani Government has failed to control sectarian killings in that country.
Then they took out a large protest march in the city carrying placards in hands depicting slogans Pakistani Hai Hai, Nawaz Shrief…. Hai Hai, Taliban Hai Hai. A large number of youth and children also participated in the strong protest over  2000 people. Several senior leaders of the community also addressed the gathering and condemned the act. They said that no religion teaches such violence and bloodshed and Pakistani Government must control such acts on its soil.
Prominent among those who addressed the gathering included Zakki Haider, president Anzuman Jafria Poonch; Bashir Hussain Mir, president Shia Federation Jammu; Kafayat Hussain Sufi and Shafiq Hussain Baba. After passing through various markets and localities, the protest march culminated at Imambara.
