People object to shifting of wine shops

JAMMU, Dec 26: The residents of Sector 3 Extension Channi Himmat held a meeting, which was chaired by Asha Rani, Councilor, Ward Number 51, Sector 3.
In the meeting, the residents objected to the opening of the wine shop in their residential area by way of shifting it from National Highway Narwal.
They stated that despite taking up the issue with the senior Government officials including Excise Commissioner, the Excise Department is in the process to shift the wine shop in their residential area in violation to all the rules and norms.
While speaking, Asha Rani said that opening of wine shop will bring a negative impact on the young generation and spoil the healthy atmosphere of the society.
The residents warned the Government of dire consequence, if wine shop will be opened in their residential area.
Among others present were Ajay Sharma, Sushant Sethi, Radha Sham, Raj Rani, Anju Sharma, Chander Sharma, etc.
