People hold protest, demand arrest of migrant labourers

REASI, June 6: The people held a protest rally here demanding arrest of the migrant labourers, who tried to murder a local labourer (mistry) at their native place.
Hundreds of protestors assembled at Ram Lila ground and started marching towards Dak Bunglow. They were demanding strict action against two migrant labourers namely Nand Lal and Kailash, who allegedly tried to murder one local labourer namely Manzoor Ahmed.
While speaking, Manzoor Ahmed said that he along with his co-workers Nand Lal and Kailash visited their hometown in Bihar, where they allegedly tried to murder him and also tried to steal Rs 13,000. He demanded arrest of the culprits at the earliest.
Among others who spoke were Murad Ali, district president, Gujjar Bakkerwal Association, Mohd Latief, Raj Kumar, Maheshwar Singh and Mohd Rafiq, Sarpanchs and Ayub Bhat, PDP leader.
When contacted, SHO Reasi Rakesh Akram said that they have registered a case under FIR number 69/13 and a team has been constituted, which will visit accused persons’ native place to arrest them.
