JAMMU, Nov 22: To mobilize public support in favour of the BJP, Member Parliament & Prabhari of the State, Avinash Rai Khanna, addressed a massive gathering in Akhnoor town today which was followed by a road show that passed through main bazaars.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Khanna said that such a large gathering of people itself is an indication that the public of Akhnoor is fed up with the leaders to whom they elected to represent their concerns. They have now made up with their mind to support BJP. It is also clear from such massive gathering that people want to undertake a cleanliness drive to get rid of such leaders who did nothing during their tenure as MLA and Minister but were now again approaching them on false promises and claims.
He said that the BJP is going to achieve Mission 44+ and it will provide a Government which thinks of people and not of few families and also cares for all sections of the society.
Other BJP leaders who addressed the rally included State spokesperson, Sunil Sethi (Adv.), party leader & former Minister Pt. Govind Ram Sharma and candidate Rajeev Sharma.
Sunil Sethi said that Narendra Modi wave which is sweeping State assemblies has deep impact in all the three regions of the J&K also and the people are yearning for a change with just one choice of bringing BJP to power. He asked the people not to repeat the mistake of voting again for Congress candidate as their  area remained discriminated, neglected during the last so many years.
Pt. Govind Ram Sharma said that during his long political career he never witnessed such a strong wave in favour of any party as is seen currently for BJP. He said that the wave is due to the acceptance of BJP’s clear vision on development and commitment to end corruption and dynasty rule.
Rajeev Sharma said that BJP will write new chapter in the history of Akhnoor as the people who have been supporting other political parties are now expressing their faith in BJP and hence our margin of victory will be very large. He appealed the people to even educate their relative, friends etc. to vote for BJP.
