People facing problems due to indifferent attitude of ‘BJP-PDP’: Tara Chand

JAMMU, Feb 19: Underli-ning the hardships faced by people in day today life due to indifferent attitude of the BJP-PDP Government, former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand today said that due to ineffective and poor delivery of administration at the ground level common public has to bear day today harassment. He said people living in border and far-off belts are facing huge administrative deficit.
“The ruling BJP should stop rhetoric and come clear on issues of Article 370, equalizing assembly constituencies in Kashmir and Jammu regions along with issue of granting Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs) to West Pakistan Refugees,” he said.
Addressing one day convention of party workers at Halqa Marh, Tara Chand said people living alongside International Border (IB) are the worst sufferers and the Government should allot plots at safer areas along with financial help of Rs 10 lakhs for house construction and RBA status to these people.
The Congress convention was organized by former MLA and general secretary PCC, Th Balwan Singh to project the problems and issues faced by the common public of the area. Former ministers -Mula Ram and Manohar Lal Sharma were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Balwan Singh said that PDP-BJP coalition has failed on all fronts. He regretted that except tall promises nothing constructive has been done on the grounds and problems of the common masses are compounding with every passing day due to anti-people policies being propagated by this regime.
Singh said that poor people are going through tough times due to indifferent attitude of the government as the quota of ration and other essential commodities is being denied to them. He said soaring prices have made the life of people extremely difficult and the government should immediately ensure that people get their share of ration.
Raising the issues pointed by the AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi, the former MLA said on post demonetization very relevant questions have been asked from the BJP led Government but the PM Modi has not replied.
He called upon party cadre to prepare for Panchayat elections and lambasted the government for playing with the real spirit of 73rd amendment and local self government concept.
