KATHUA, Feb 15: The irate residents of Rajbagh and adjoining villages today blocked the Jammu, Pathankot National Highway for 25 minutes in protest against power failure in the area for last one week due to breakdown of local transformer.
The people squatted on the road and raised slogans against the PDD authorities. There was a heavy jam on the Highway. Later, the SHO Rajbagh, Sanjeev Chib visited the spot and appealed the protesters to lift the road blockade as he will take up the issue with higher authorities and transformer in the area will be installed by tomorrow.
On the assurance of SHO, people lifted the road blockade.
