JAMMU, Mar 24: A meeting of State Pensioners Association was held under the chairmanship of Madan Lal Abrol for highlighting various demands and issues of the pensions.
The Association urged the Government to issue formal SRO for implementation of 7th Pay Commission in the State with effect from January 1, 2016 w.e.f 1-1-2016 and remove the pay anomalies.
The Association said that the pensioners were suffering for insurance scheme which was announced in the Assembly. The members also reiterated the demands like enhancement of Medical allowance.
The meeting was attended by Jagdish Dogra, Raj Kumar Banathia, Madan Lal Sharma, Himant Singh, Mohd Shafi, Deep Raj, Krishan Lal Gupta, Jagdish Sharma, Prof Bodh Raj, Prof Bnarsi Dass, Ex Session Judge Paviter Singh, Bushan Pargal, Sat Pal Suri, Madan Mohan Sharma, S Harbans Singh and others.
