PEEU employees discuss demands with DyCM

JAMMU, Apr 13: Provincial Electric Employees Union (PEEU) led by its president PC Sharma held a meeting with the Commissioner Secretary Power in which the demands of the employees were discussed threadbare.
The Chief Engineer M&RE and Deputy Secretary PDD were also present in the meeting. The Union has expressed its satisfaction over the interest shown by Commissioner Secretary Power in settling the demands of the employees.
Later the delegation also called on Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and apprised him of the problems.
The Union gave a charter of demands to Deputy CM demanding retrospective effect be given to regularized daily wagers from the day they completed seven years as daily wage service, amendment in service recruitment PDD-381 of 1981, release of technical grade to all , implementation of SARO 59 to all PDD employees of Jammu region as has been done in Kashmir Valley, sending on diploma courses or degree courses employees of PDD on government expenses, opening of EM&RE Division at Basholi, regularization of daily wagers, payment of wages as per status to need based and casual workers, amendment in PDD employees welfare schemes and remedial measures be taken for prevention of accidents.
